Automatik VFX London is seeking a Senior 3D Modeller to join our team. The ideal candidate should be motivated and well-organised, passionate about feature filmmaking, with the desire to work within a fast-paced team of experienced VFX artists.

 

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience at senior level creating photorealistic organic and hard-surface CG models within a VFX facility
  • Thorough understanding of the modelling process and the VFX pipeline from modelling through to animation, texturing and rendering

Experienced Comp Sequence Lead - Berlin Posted 14/8/2017

We are looking for a Compositing Sequence Lead in our Berlin office.


Primary responsibilities and duties:    

•    Liaise directly with the VFX & CG Supervisor / Producer in regards to bidding, scheduling, pipeline development    

•    Manage and oversee the 2D team in all aspects of the department for the assigned sequence  

•    Attend dailies/rounds and provide constructive feedback to assist compositors in finalizing shots    

•    Maintain quality control for all composites    

•    Compositing of shots (of any level)

Matchmover -- London Posted 21/8/2017

Matchmovers are responsible for creating CG cameras, object tracks and body tracks that adopt the same movements as the BG plate. They may also model geometry to enable the live action to integrate seamlessly with CG elements. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creating CG cameras, object tracks and body tracks to match the BG plate
  • Geometric reconstruction of key objects in a scene
  • Conducting quality control checks to ensure the accuracy of each track
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure CG elements are seamlessly integrated into a shot
  • Work well in a team environment and take direction from team leads and the production team

 

Essential Skills/Experience:

Lead Compositor -- London Posted 21/8/2017

The Compositing Artist combines live-action and computer-generated elements into visual effects shots in order to realise the vision and creative direction of the client and VFX Supervisor. We currently have openings in our London team for Lead Compositors. The Lead Compositor, working with mid-level and junior compositors, will be responsible for the creative integrity and technical quality of key shots or a sequence of shots.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working with the VFX Supervisor and 2D Supervisor to develop visual and technical solutions for specific effects
  • Compositing of live-action shots with CG elements, including 2D tracking, layering of elements, colour grading and extracting mattes
  • Consistently delivering shots that are creatively and technically excellent

Digital Matte Painter (DMP) - London Posted 18/6/2017

We are looking for an experienced Digital Matter Painter (DMP) to join our London team for an exciting feature film opportunity. A strong understanding of real-world materials, lighting and composition is essential, as is a basic understanding of CG and compositing workflows.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Able to create photo-realistic digital matte paintings in Photoshop
  • Assist with and develop the look of a shot/sequence in liaison with the VFX Supervisor and ensure that DMP meets client requirements
  • Communicate regularly with Production regarding schedules and deadlines, while maintaining the highest standards
  • Work with CG and Compositing teams to ensure shots are delivered to the very highest standard
  • Seek out photographic reference material, where needed
